Punch reports that the
Nigerian Airspace Management Agency yesterday grounded the chartered aircraft
of Governor Amaechi of Rivers state. According to the report, the aircraft was
allegedly grounded at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano State when
Amaechi came to paid a condolence visit to the Governor of Kano state Rabiu
Kwankwaso over the death of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero.
Also in the aircraft
were Senator Danjuma Goje and Abubakar Baraje. Meanwhile, Punch claims that
Rivers state Commissioner of Information Ibim Seminitari has confirmed that the
Governor’s chartered aircraft was grounded.
