SHOCKING! Thief Electrocuted While Trying To Steal From An Electric Cable In Lagos (Photos)

Everyday for the Thief, One Day for the owner of the house.
This is shocking; but I think the ‘thief’ was paid the required price. I wonder why people have refused to stay away from government installations. Even as we pray and appeal to our leaders to do more in the areas of provision of good public utilities and better service delivery; some disgruntled elements are bent on causing more harm to the already provided welfare services.
According to report by Kemi Filani, a young man was electrocuted recently in Lagos while attempting to steal from a power cable in Lagos.
Kemi Filani Reports

While trying to steal one of the cables in a transformer in Iju Ishaga area, Lonlo bus stop, Lagos at midnight, the young man in the photo above, was electrocuted to death.
He was trying to remove another one from the Mitchell 500KVA when electricity supply was suddenly restored.
The corpse of the deceased, was discovered by a 13-year old boy, Segun Adedokun, who was going to fetch water in the area.

On sighting the dead body, Adedokun raised alarm that attracted residents of the area to the scene of the incident.
Some residents who had gathered at the scene, as at the time of this report, were seen using their cell phones to take photograph of the electrocuted young man, while cursing him for attempting to steal the feeder units.
A witness, Mr. Egunjobi Samuel, said that vandals had been tampering with their transformer for a long time, adding that luck ran out on the victim because God wanted to expose one of them today.

“We have been experiencing this thing for a long time. Some people will just come and remove some parts from this transformer.  God decided to expose one of them today. It serves him right,’’ Samuel said.
