Epic judgement!
If you have not been following
this current case, obviously, you are on a very long thing. Of course, for about
seven months now, this case has been the talk of the town.
Anyway, the Olympic runner Oscar
Pistorius has been jailed for five years for mistakenly killing his girlfriend
Reeva Steenkamp. The Judge Thokozile Masipa today announced a sentence of five
years imprisonment after finding him guilty of culpable homicide.
It would be recalled that the athlete
Mr. Pistorius was acquitted of murder. He testified before the judge during his
murder trial that he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder.
Sources said Arnold Pistorius,
uncle of the jailed athlete, has indicated there will be no appeal. If that
opinion stands, it then means that the Olympic star is going to spend the next
half a decade behind close bars.
It suits him...
