Happy Birthday Dearie…
It’s a very happy birthday from
the depth of my heart to my bestie, sweet heart, brother, confidant, associate
and friend Dr. Patrick Tekevwe. I am wishing him the best of God’s divine
protection, blessings and favour as he continues to impact on more lives.
It’s been a hectic day for me,
and I am so tired. So, below is a wonderful eulogy written by a prolific writer
Mr. Okolie Chigozie on Dr. Patrick’s birthday.
A very good morning to you
dearest NFCSers... Today as a family we celebrate all those having their
birthdays today and pray God to bless them and grant them long life...
One of these celebrant is Dr.
Patrick Akpofure, my friend and brother, he alone is worthy of this write up. I
know say our time don pass, but the younger generation and even generations
before us need to learn a thing or two about their NFCS heroes...
To be honest, frank and sincere,
I have never met anyone like Sir P as I fondly call him. He is a blend of
humility, hard work, dedication, selflessness, discipline and above all fear
and love of God...The guy too love God scarra....choi...my spirituality dey
trip for em spirituality. This young man with a very bright future is a medical
doctor by profession, he was inducted in the year 2013 and has completed his
housemanship currently awaiting youth service. He was the NFCS Prayer
coordinator in 2012. A true ambassador of the NFCS brands of excellence
administration.
This friend of mine, dear friends
was one of those that fought acideously to return the spiritual consciousness
of NFCSers and checkmate the spiritual consciousness of NFCSers with the Ebirim
Joseph led always spicy socials. The guy balance the equation. He no gree make
social activities overpower spiritual tin ooo..He dey mark Spyce man to
man..Lol. No surprises when he banked the NFCS prestigious award for long time
service, very few have been privileged to receive this. He was my backbone
during my administration, one of those I discuss confidential matters with even
before the excos meeting.
One of the things I admire him
most for is his spirit of self sacrifice: In final year of medical school, he
was still working for God, while his mates are jacking, he is in the church
preparing for the next Growing in the Faith Series (GFS). It was through him
that I got to understand the quote that "GOD NEVER ABANDONS HIS
PEOPLE" Through his life I got to trust God even more. Never for once did
he sit twice for any of his professional exams despite all the sacrifice. God
is truly with him.
To the younger generation I
employ you to draw inspiration from this silent hero of our great family,
maintain the legacies left behind, follow the footsteps of our heroes past and
God will reward us abundantly.
Happy Birthday once again my
brother and friend in whom I am well pleased. God bless you.
Signed:
Okolie, Chigozie Louis
