Bizarre!!!!
More than a decade ago, my Social
Studies teacher told us (those days in JSS 1) that Culture is generally defined
as the way of life of a people. She went on to say that this way of life,
includes the three basic needs of man namely: food, shelter and clothing. Applauded!!!
So my friend visited Rivers State
University of Science and Technology (RSUST), PH, recently, where she witnessed
this bizarre and thought provoking situation. According to her, the girl in an
attempt to represent the rich cultural heritage of the Kalabari people exposed
her entire boobs to the general public during the just concluded RSUST cultural carnival. Yah! The unknown girl was spotted in the public parading her
bare boobs at the cultural day celebration organized by the students yesterday
16th May, 2015.
According to further
investigations which I carried out; the traditional attire indeed, originated
from the good people of Kalabari kingdom, and it is normally showcased during the
rite of passage to womanhood for young girls in the village. I was rightly
informed that it is not meant for a public display of this kind, rather a
community rite of passage.
To show you guys, how happy and
proud she was to represent her culture in the cultural day celebration that had
in attendance many ethnic groups in Rivers state, the beautifully adorned damsel
was walking arm in arm with a guy who was also adorned in the traditional
regalia of a Kalabari prince.
Guys, how do you see this
cultural dressing in the 21st century???
My dear, this is trash! Total madness. how can you expose your privates in the name of culture...which culture allows you to be nude
ReplyDeleteCulture is the way of positive lyf....not every rubbish! the girl is shameless, and i doubt if a man will spend his money to marry her
