Though his participation
in reality shows like ‘Glo Naija Sings” to “Nigeria’s Got Talent”, couldn’t fetch
him the required fame; it remarkably served as a stepping stone to his future
successes…because he lunched him to limelight and he hits it big as a TV
presenter with Ebony TV.
According to him,
hitting it big with Ebony TV wasn’t a child’s play. It eventually happened
after he was evicted from the Season One of Nigeria’s Got Talent, and a lady
there advised him to try his luck in the TV segment. The same lady later told
him about the auditions for Presenters that was taking place then….the rest is
now history. Although, Bassey claimed that there are many things he is yet to
achieve, one can’t ignore the fact that the super dude is really living his dream
in the industry; having anchored a daily show on ELTV among other things.
Ekeng confessed that
he developed love for music started from childhood when he could practically sing
every Disney songs; from Little Mermaid to Beauty and the Beast. Not to talk of
Kiddies Praise; and even praise Singers. According to him, his biggest
challenge so far has being living beyond the limits Bell’s palsy caused him. He
said he has faith in God and prays regularly and depends on God’s guidance;
which has always been his surest way to escape from difficulties. His best holiday
spot would have to be any of the Islands especially Mauritius; this he does
whenever he is not cooling off with TV talk show programmes.
The upcoming music
star has a lot of stuffs to be proud of, recently he released a limited edition
of his debut album ‘Live & Unplugged’ which is currently making waves, and
it’s capable of announcing the Ebony TV presenter on the international music scene.
