MAGNUS ABE: POLITICS OF PEACE AND LOVE

It's something even better than politics without bitter. For Ogoni youths, this image should be a trans-generational monument of exemplary conduct that should define our politics and relationship.

Yesterday was the birthday of Distinguished Senator Lee Maeba. The celebration was held in his home town in Luuwa in Nyokhana Kingdom of Ogoniland.

The Most Distinguished Senator Magnus Abe who was also in Ogoniland decided to drive down from his Bera home in Gokana Kingdom to Luuwa country home of Senator Lee to wish his brother and friend a most heartfelt happy birthday.

Inside Lee's house, Abe and some APC political stalwarts from Nyokhana Kingdom presented the celebrant a hand-made, well-crafted card, and sang him a melodious tune of the popular song "happy birthday to you".

Senator Lee was so happy and thrilled that both leaders created a scene out of the visit to the admiration of onlookers.

And to Ogoni people, the message is clear. No matter our political affiliation and orientation, we are brothers and must at all times think about the interest of Ogoni first. Magnus Abe is showing examples that politicians from other tribes should borrow to make our politics a game without bitterness.

Magnus Abe is fast evolving into extra-ordinary, charismatic and irresistible personality, a leader whose words and action point to the acceptable standard of behavior worthy of emulation.

So let the message go forth from this place and time, that this generation of Ogoni people are ready and willing to make the sacrifice to unite our people, inculcate in them a sense of patriotism create an atmosphere within Ogoni that make our people look forward to the endless possibilities of the future defined by peace and a tall virtue that can't be subsumed under disunity!
