It's week 25 of the English Premier league and the games are coming thick and fast. The most eagerly anticipated game of the weekend was the Match between Chelsea and Manchester united.
Indeed, both teams setting their sights on finishing strongly at the end of this season. The home team on the back of a disappointing draw away to Watford whereas Manchester united were on the back of a convincing victory against Stoke City.
The opening 25 minutes saw the away team dominating proceedings as Chelsea struggled to settle but could not break the deadlock. The home team came into the game midway into the first half and threatened the United goal a few times as both teams went into the first half break even with no goals scored as Chelsea claims for a penalty late in the first half was waived off by the referee.
The second half saw both teams coming attacking each other. Zouma had to be taken off in a stretcher early into the second half for an injury sustained after an awkward landing trying to clear the ball close to the halfway line and was replaced by Cahill. Manchester took the lead moments later through Jesse Lingard, controlling Cameron Borthwick-Jackson's low cross from the left and firing into Courtois' top-left corner on the turn. United held unto their slender lead thanks to the heroics of David De Gea in goal who denied smartly attempts from Ivanovic and Fabregas.
United's resilience though, was broken in the first minute of Stoppage time as Diego Costa benefited from a Slip by Daley Blind to go round De Gea and fire home the equalizer as both teams share the spoils against each other for the second time this Season.
Both teams will feel they deserved more than a point in this match but still have to settle for one apiece as Chelsea's race for a top ten finish and United's push for a top four finish continues.
