Weekend Vibes!!! All that Glitters on Facebook is not Beauty

Offor’s eyes darted sideways as he searched for Princess among the horde of commuters that had just disembarked from the coaster bus. Offor reached for his mobile phone and dialed her number, where are you, he asked? You’ll soon see me Princess retorted. Offor still could not see anyone like her.

Princess is not someone that should hide a in crowd, her towering height and fair skin stands her out. They met on Facebook and Offor was smitten by her beauty.

With a perfectly chiseled face, a nose that points upward and eyes that glazed sexily, anyone would swoon over the beauty of Princess. She also has a body that compliments her facial beauty, a lavish structure that will make men swallow spittle at her sight.

Offor had been up in the moon over her planned visit. He left office early to prepare for her arrival. He even went to the market and bought things to make gizzard sauce, his favorite delicacy.

It’s been 4 months since they met on Facebook and became friends. Princess is a radio presenter, her lovely voice turns Offor on and he would talk with her on the phone endlessly everyday.

Offor’s phone buzzed, its Princess. I can see you she said excitedly, Offor turned around but she was nowhere to be found. A black girl worked her way through the crowd and started at Offor’s direction beaming with smile and waving excitedly at him.

For a moment, Offor was confused, he didn’t believe that the girl was smiling at him until the total stranger jumped on his body. Wow, am so happy to see you, she gushed!

Totally bemused, Offor asked, are you Princess, as in Princess, the Priestess of ..... the airways, the girl completed the sentence. It’s either Offor was dreaming or something is wrong with his sight. The girl before him looked nothing like the girl that captured Offor’s fancy. She’s a poor copy of Princess except for the familiar voice that was exactly the one Offor yearns to hear everyday.

The drive back home was quiet. Princess did all the talking, Offor was dazed and was in no mood for jokes. He needed answers, its apparent he’s been played. He pulled out his phone to steal a glance at the girl he had known as Princess.

Back home, Offor was seething with rage. He pulled out one of Dan Brown’s classics to help clear his mind and douse the anger threatening to boil over. To no avail, he couldn't concentrate especially with Princess all over him.

He couldn't take it any longer, who are you he asked? Why did you send me another person's picture? Why did you deceive me all along?

Anger, regret and disappointment flooded Offor’s mind. All his efforts in planning a weekend rendezvous with the girl of his dream seemed like a wasted effort. Go and take your bath and help yourself in the kitchen, Offor told her angrily. She got up and entered the bathroom.

Offor could hear her sobbing in the bathroom, he ignored her until the cries became louder. He couldn't stand the tears of a woman, so he went into the bathroom to calm her down.

There the story changed and everything became different.

End of story!
