Victory is very sweet,
especially when it comes as a surprised package. The National Working Committee‘s
of the ‘largest party in Africa’, PDP today paid a visit to the Presidential
Villa, and President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan,
Vice President Namadi Sambo and PDP Chair Adamu
Mu’azu toasted to
PDP’s victory in the election.
The President assured the
Governor-elect Fayose, that his administration will give him all the necessary
support to excel.
In the words of Mr.
President: “The President assures Mr.
Fayose that the Federal Government will give all necessary support and
assistance to his incoming administration and cooperate fully with him in
furtherance of the present administration’s objective of significantly
improving the living conditions of Nigerians in all parts of the country”.
Some persons said, they didn’t see Fayose’s victory
coming. Going into the Saturday’s election, pundits in the media had already
given it to the incumbent Governor as the popular candidate, given the
incumbency factor and his antecedent in the past four years; but it didn’t work
out like that as the result of the election shows a landslide victory for the
PDP’s Candidate.
Another thing, I appreciate so much in the whole
thing is the maturity of the incumbent Governor in accepting defeat barely 24
hours after the result was announced. #he-has-my-kind-of-spirit-of-sportsmanship.
This ‘maybe’ victory for democracy (forget the
rice). Lol!
