In an official press release yesterday
night by the authorities of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), the
church has said that no one died in yesterday’s building collapse. #rolls-eyes
However, this is contrary to
media reports by reputable media houses that scores were feared dead at the
building collapse. Mr. Ibrahim Fairnloye the spokesman for the National
Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) South-west Zone was quoted yesterday as
saying that some bodies were carried out from the collapsed building. Some speculations
even put the figure at 50 dead persons.
The media department of the
church in the press release below explained that contrary to media reports, no
one is trapped in the rubbles and no one has died. They also debunked the speculations that the church auditorium was involved.
