Ouch!
Now, our church leaders are fighting themselves on social media….Shm
So last week Friday, Pastor Chris
Okotie (who is never far from controversies); took to the church’s facebook
page to air his view on the alleged $9.3 Million arms deal which CAN president Ayo
Oritsejafor has been roped into because the private jet the large amount of
money was found on was said to belong to the Christian leader. Okotie who is the
Leader of Household of Gold Church, succinctly called for Pastor Oritsejafor’s
resignation over the money wahala.
Read what he wrote on the
church’s Facebook page:
The
South African government took the action on the alleged charge that the
undeclared $9.3m found in the plane might have been laundered. This revelation
came when the dust generated by the seemingly dubious donation of the jet to
Pastor Ayo is yet to settle. His friendship with the President has been at the
centre of the controversies that mark his explosive tenure as the leader of the
eponymous religious organization in Nigeria.
Considering
the collateral damage Pastor Ayo’s close relationship with the President has
done to the Christian community, it is fit and proper for the Pastor to resign
immediately as CAN President to salvage what remains of the battered image of
the association.
However, speaking with PUNCH
today, The CAN Director of National Issues, Mr Sunny Oibe fires back at Okotie by
taking a serious jab at his alleged failed marriages and litany of divorce…lol!
Read what Oibe told Punch:
Is
Chris Okotie a Christian? How many wives has he? He should go and sort out
himself. Even the government has exonerated Pastor Ayo of all the allegations.
So who is Okotie? Well, it is laughable if Chris Okotie should demand that
Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor should resign as President of CAN.
Chris
Okotie should remove the log in his eyes before he begins to see a peck in
somebody’s eyes. Pastor Ayo had a soaring integrity before he was elected the
President of CAN. Who elected Chris Okotie to become the spokesperson of
Christians in Nigeria? CAN will not like to join issues with Okotie because
doing that will amount to making him popular. He is looking for popularity,
which he doesn’t have through Pastor Ayo and he is not going to get it.
....and what will trendy Gist say
now and you guys wouldn’t attack me….lol! lip sealed!
