Ø  For the sake of this interview, could you please introduce yourself, & how was growing up like?
I’m Cynthia Chidinma Ugbah…from Delta state. My growing up was just a normal childhood thing…with friends around me…and my siblings. I’m from a family of 6. 3 boys and I am the only girl; so it was a normal one, for I was over protected. (Laughs)

Ø  Tell us your educational background and what motivated or inspired you to become a Beauty Queen/Model
I went through diploma in the University of Calabar…got my National Diploma and I am in a fashion school now; moreover, I am processing my admission into a university now. To your second question, I was really motivated by the passion I have for pageantry.
I was determined to be a Beauty Queen…but, at a point I didn’t believe in myself; but people believed in me and they motivated me into giving it a trial and God so good I was crowned winner at the Queen of Trust beauty Pageant held in PH recently.
Ø  (Cuts in) What initial steps did you take?
The first step I took was to get the form and I also attend the Queen of Trust audition that was held in Port Harcourt. Even though, it was a long distance because I am based in Lagos.

Ø  What’s the Queen of Trust pageant all about? And how does it feel to be crowned a winner?
Queen of Trust (beauty for purpose), pageant is the search for an exceptional lady with value and virtues that can positively affect her generation, environment and society at large.
I must say it feels very great…there’s nothing as tough as when you have people who look up to you…it’s more like a challenge right now. It feels great and it’s a challenge to make use of the platform given to me now to do something great for my organization and myself.
Ø  What Pet project projects are you embarking on?
My pet project is to reach out to the widows…handicaps and lots more. It’s mainly to touch lives of the abandoned people we have in the society. I plan on reaching out to those who can barely feed in a certain village. Basically, it has to do with reaching out to the poor.

Ø  What does style mean to you…as in, how would you describe your style? Again, being in the public eye, does your new status put some sort of pressure on your wardrobe?
Style to me means how creative I can be in my own way…my own style is to be different from people. I hate copy right… (Laughs)
Again, being in the public eye, my new status doesn’t put any pressure on me or my wardrobe…I love my new status as Queen of Trust 2015, it’s given me the platform to make myself a better person and to work really hard for the organization…because so many people would love to see you fail…I just have to prove them wrong...so there’s no pressure…it’s just a stepping stone into greatness…nothing good comes easy. You know, like the saying goes…hard work pays no matter the pressure…it’s all for the best.

Ø  What attracts you to the opposite sex? What’s your idea of a great guy?
Hmmm…well, firstly, his appearance matters a lot…and his sense of humour, a guy that is intelligent and ready to achieve success no matter the pressure he’s on or his family background.

Ø  You are a very beautiful and sexy Queen…are we expecting wedding bells soon?
(Laughs) Noooo…you lot shouldn’t expect wedding bells now…I’m still young oo

Ø  (Cuts in), Does it mean you are not in any relationship?
No, I’m not in a relationship at this time, and I’m not searching… (laughs), I am not just interested at this time, I would love to focus more on my career.

Ø  Is it a personal decision or no guy is attracted to you? Finally, is there any sex lobby in pageantry? Many aspiring models are crying foul of sexual exploitation. What’s your take on this?
Of course, loads of guys are attracted to me, but I am not down for it at this time. To your second question about sex lobby in pageantry; to me I have not experienced any…well, but, I have heard of several news and I believe it’s not a do or die affairs…they weren’t forced into it. So it’s for their personal interest.
Ø  Thanks for granting us this interview. We sincerely appreciate!
You are welcome.
