I heard this painful news
yesterday morning, but I didn’t blog it because I was in a great shock; again, I
decided to wait till I get an official statement from either the family or
Uniport management.
Her daughter Stephanie Uche, took
to her instagram page yesterday to cry out on the death of this renowned
Chemist.
Until his death, Prof. Nick Oforka
was one the patrons of the Nigeria Federation Catholic Students (NFCS) Uniport
chapter and a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Port Harcourt. Calm,
soft spoken and brilliant, Late Prof. Oforka was greatly admired by his
students at Uniport and other Institutions of higher learning.
He would be remembered for his philanthropy
and sense of humility. May his gentle soul rest in Peace. Amen!
