As part of its efforts aimed at
sensitizing the general public on various health matters; the Nigeria Federation of Catholic Students (NFCS)
Uniport Chapter is organizing a public seminar on the outbreak of the
deadly Ebola Virus Disease in Nigeria
cum West Africa.
A statement by the Vice President
Academics of the largest students’ religious body in Uniport, Bro. Chukwumezie Chidi, states that the
lecture will take place on Thursday 4th
September, 2014. An erudite scholar Dr.
(Mrs.) Mezie-Okoye is expected to sensitize the public on the topic “Ebola Hour”. Venue is the Chaplaincy Hall of the Chapel of The Annunciation
Catholic Chaplaincy, University of Port Harcourt; and time is 6:30pm (No African Time).
It would be recalled that
the NFCS had organized similar lectures/seminars in the past. Their public
lecture on the ‘Lassa Fever’ delivered by Prof. Vincent Idemyor was beneficial
to the Uniport students; and Trendy Gist is enjoining the university community
to avail themselves of this golden opportunity to learn more about the Ebola
Virus Disease and its prevention.
For sure, I must be there....
