“I Love Him So Much, But He’s a Very Broke Cab Man…” Blog Reader Needs Your Advice in Her Relationship Issue

From a female T.G Blog Reader
‘’Please, I need your advice on an issue .There's this guy that I have been friends with for about 4 years now, he's been a good friend and a confidant to the extent that he goes out of his way to do things for me with no strings attached. Although, my girl friends always tells me that the guy is in love with me and has always been interested in me.
So in December of last year; I decided to ask him why he's doing all he does for me - he expressed his feelings, said that he didn't want to say it since because he is not financially stable.
He is a cab driver now and trying to raise money to travel abroad for greener pastures. I have fallen for the guy too because he seems the kind of man I wish to get married to-we connect so well and he seems to understands me. Although, I cannot vouch for his true character (as he doesn’t have money now-you remember this saying ‘’it is difficult to know a man’s true character when he doesn’t have money’’?).
I just want the parliament to tell me if there is a future for me with this man because I am very confused right now…he has no formal education, job or even the money to settle down now. I am 30 years old, I am considering my age here. If he travels abroad, I do not know how long it will take him to find his feet.
Although, I am well traveled and can easily visit him wherever he resides. I just don’t know how it will all turn out if I decide to get involved and I do not want to be a stumbling block to his dreams either.
I would have tried convincing him to stay back and establish himself here but he doesn’t seem business inclined. I am afraid to let go because I have had numerous heartbreaks and disappointments from men and I am scared of facing such again. Please talk to me. He is 34 years old. We are both from the South East and we reside in Abuja. I am employed’
