Yesterday, I started writing on
five major singers in Nigeria, and how they became so famous in the
entertainment industry. The first songstress I discussed that yesterday was the
“Eminaldo” crooner: Tiwa Savage. Read it HERE
Today, my focus is on another
international songstress of repute called: Yemi Alade. This wonderful screen
goddess is a huge advantage to the Nigerian entertainment industry. Yemi was
born into a middle class family from Abia state, south east Nigeria. Her dad
and mum, Police man and Trader respectively, weren’t too rich but through dint
of hard work and doggedness; she earned herself a place of pride in the heart
of many Nigerian music lovers.
Yemi is currently signed to ‘Effyzzle
Music Group’, and has to her credit several club rocking songs; and has also
collaborated with top singers in the industry to produce earth-quaking songs
that has won her reputable local and international awards. Omo! That big show in
town is not complete if Yemi’s name is not on the performance list. Little wonder,
she is currently a nominee for this year’s BET award.
One of her best tracts, “Johnny”
featuring Selebobo is still a popular demand among music lovers in parties and
clubs nationwide. Word on the street is that the song was an outcome of a failed
relationship, as a result of cheating. Yah! Sources said, Yemi suffered a heart
break after she discovered that she was been cheated on, by someone she truly loves;
and that was the inspiration for the song. “Johnny”.
One drool worthy feature of this
pop sensation is her coca cola bottle shape; which is driving guys crazy. Omo! This
babe is not just hot; she’s sexy and sultry.
Watch out for part 3 tomorrow

For me Yemi no reach anywhere...her songs are mere junks. Rubbish!
ReplyDeleteNice write-up; but i personally think Waje should even be the first. Tiwa has the voice no doubt, but she is nude conscious
