The Hullabaloo about Bruce Jenner’s Gender Transition to Caitlyn! What a Madness?

I opened my dairy today and the first thing that stared at me was the media buzz about a certain man named Bruce Jenner, who is now a woman, Caitlyn Jenner. Shm! What a madness! I recall with a note of nostalgia, how the social media was nearly shot down the day Vanity Magazine’s May Issue, flaunted Caitlyn as its cover star with that alluring cover story. I couldn’t understand the entire madness about transgender. I swear!

Let me take you down memory lane on the man called: Bruce and his sudden genetic transition to womanhood. Caitlyn! Fans of that ever controversial TV reality show “Keeping up with the Kardashian”, will tell you that William Bruce Jenner was a dormant character in most of the TV reality episodes; who only contributed when needed. His role was like that of a passive entity that was seemingly compelled to join the crew…and he managed to play along.

Bruce was a former athlete, who rose to the acme of athletics; having to his credit an Olympic gold medal among other laurels. Some persons said, he is a popular TV personality. Eziokwu? I don’t think I agree with them, but they are entitled to their opinions anyway. The truth is that the name Bruce has got a long history of controversy. He is popular for his three failed marriages. Yah! His first marriage with celebrity damsel Christie Scott produced two children Burton and Cassandra. He later got married to Linda and had two children as well; Brandon and Brody, and as if that was not enough, his last marriage with Kris Jenner which brought Kylie and Kendall into the world, collapsed due to irreconcilable differences. So now, you can understand why he’s got a huge romance with marriage controversy?

But, could this be the reason why he felt himself a woman? You never can tell. One good thing about Bruce Jenner was his effective parental responsibility to all his children. Notably, Bruce has an unblinking love for his children irrespective of the mothers. His good parental disposition to the children helped to keep the affection stronger by the day.

In one of the episode of the TV reality show: “Keeping up with the Kardashian”, Bruce was seen discussing with his family his love for womanhood and how he intends making it a reality. Kylie, Kim, Kourtney and especially Kendall were all amazed and inquisitively wanted to be let into the possibility; especially how he would be referred to after it. But, after some hours of discussion, they all consented. Yah! Another issue that came up was the idea of discussing the possibility with his ex-wife Kris; how would Mrs. Kris accept such reality? Anyway, that intrigues was equally sorted as we were told Kris reluctantly consented.

The hullabaloo that ensued the announcement of successful transgender of Bruce to Caitlyn was absolutely insane. Madness!!! The transgender community, gays and their likes did they best to ensure that the celebration of madness received the needed media hype; and trust local and International Bloggers. We also learnt that on announcing her transgender thus: “I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me”; the man turned woman established a pace in the Guinness Book of Records by cumulatively hitting one million Twitter followers in just four hours. Yah! Even President Obama who later praised him sorry her by saying “it takes courage to share your story”; couldn’t not achieve similar record in four hours.

Pamela Echemunor an International Celebrity News writer revealed that Bruce sorry Caitlyn had in April this year, while rubbing minds with media crew on Diane Sawyer’s 20/20 exposed her preference for womanhood, saying that she had dealt with gender dysphoria since her youth and that, for all intents and purposes, she was a woman. Pamela also revealed that the physical transition from Bruce to Caitlyn began in the 1980 with hormone replacement therapy; why and how it took so long for it to materialize for a story for another day.

However, to think that such a negative thought could occupy a human mind for so long a time is the height of madness. Who does that? To also think that such news could dominate the media space for so long a time, in an era where sickness and forms of illness are ravaging the human race, is something close to stupidity. Ours is a society where glamour is like a creed and the madness called ‘ Unlimited Freedom’, is seen as a god.

One would have expected that in a world that is in dire need of medical, technological and development attentions and economic reforms; efforts would have geared more towards savaging the human race from the challenges mounted by famine, poverty, diseases and so on. But, the reverse turned out to be the case. It soothes Caitlyn to be what she wants, but, morality should not be thrown to the dogs all in the name of exercising human rights.
