Audu takes a sudden swift. Yah! This time, she decided to ‘diss’ with ‘a fortiori’,
the whole hullabaloo about dating and some gaffe ladies get themselves entangled
with, all in the name of satisfying guys in relationships. Lol! Interestingly,
she confessed that she hasn’t dated any guy since she was born, and doesn’t think
she can be bamboozled by the allure of dating a guy just for the sake of dating.

"You are too pretty to be
single, are guys blind?" The response I often get when I tell people I
have never had a boyfriend. For me it's more of a personal decision but it's
also has a bit to do with my upbringing. At a young age my parents drilled into
me the importance on focusing on my books and not guys. While others were
chasing around boys, I was just on the sidelines observing and giving advice
(for someone who's never been in a relationship, I seem to have a lot of
knowledge to share lol). It's no wonder
I graduated with honors but I drift.
In all honestly I have never seen
the point of dating for the sake of dating. While in Thailand my friends and I
often complained that there were no guys, no guys in the sense that most
Nigerian guys there are not the type of men any smart lady would want to be
with. Now that I'm back I would say I'm simply not interested. As a twenty year
old turning twenty-one in September my focus now is God and my career (money).
I've never understood why people waste their time in relationships and just
break up afterwards. In fact, I often joke with my friends that I'll probably
marry the first guy I date as I honestly don't have the patience to just date
anyone. While I have been on a couple dates in the past it was mostly out of
curiosity since people made such a big deal about my being single for forever
but now I'm not bothered. Maybe I'm too pretty to be single but at the risk of
sounding self-conceited I know my worth to just be with anyone. God has the
right man out there for me and when it's time I'll find him but in the meantime
I shall wait patiently.
