The Ebony black beauty has also
hosted major African events and is, perhaps, best known for her great and apt
presentation skills as co-host of African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA),
an annual event of the award winning and reputable firm....
The Cape Town University graduate explained that her evolution from BBA Amplified to TV presenter and host of AMVCA has been such a phenomenal journey which she has dreamed about. It's like dream come true for she has always dreamed about doing the things she's doing today, but genuinely never expected them.
According to her, her evolution
has been so organic. From her stay at the BBA house, where she actually exposed
her personality to opportunities in the entertainment industry; met people and
organizations, to working as a TV Presenter. .. her progression has been understandably
steady and systematically ok.
Before going for the BBA, Vimbai
worked as a model in South Africa and this expertise in modelling helped her
due and learns from her mistakes in the industry.
The talented Zimbabwean who
started her education at the International School in Belgrade...later moved to
St. Edwards School in the UK, before getting an honours degree in Politics, Philosophy
and Economics from the Cape Town University. The celebrity damsel is a product
of a very political family and really aspired to be a change from a very young
age.
She had always wanted to be in
entertainment after watching Ashwariya Rai win Miss World in 1994. Her family's
encouragement and motivation was a great push to her creativity. They would buy
her cassettes and she would create her own routines to perform at school and
this noble support to her creativity catalyzed her love for entertainment.
On her rise to stardom, Vimbai
took a noble step, and that was when she begged her parents for music lessons.
When it seemed they weren't ready to yield to her request. She terrorised the
house and her request was granted. Even her dad's strict military orientation
couldn't deter her, because she was focused. The young music icon troubled the
house and neighbourhood for many years with her songs, dance and piano. But
that was definitely the birth of her dream.
According to her, the peak of her
achievement was the AMVCA. She defined it as an honour to be part of such a
phenomenal platform that uplifted and empowered an entire industry. Though, the
screen goddess has had some challenges in the industry; however, the BBA came
as a breakthrough because it opened her to several other blessings. In fact,
her rise to stardom was sealed when she was offered many opportunities to grace
the stages of reputable events which she described as a major blessing to her
and her entire career.
